Hamas political member Ismail Barhoum dies in Israeli attack

International media reported that five people, including Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas' political bureau in Gaza, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. Reuters news agency, citing Palestinian and Hamas doctors, wrote that the attack took place on Sunday, March 23, on the surgical ward of the hospital. Israel said it targeted a key Hamas figure in the attack. Hamas also said a member of its political bureau, Ismail Barhoum, was killed in the attack. This comes a day after Salah al-Bardawil, a senior member of Hamas' political bureau, and his wife were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza.
